Getting paid through Stripe
Payments on CO:CREATE run through Stripe, our secure payment processor. Connecting Stripe is what makes you bookable. Once it's set up, you can request Deposits, send Pay Links, and take payments.
Here's how to start:
Sign in to your CO:CREATE Artist Account at cocreate.ink
Tap the menu icon (top right)
Select Account → Set up Payments
Follow the prompts to add your business details and verify your identity
When you finish, you'll see a short checklist of anything still outstanding, like setting your rates. If nothing's outstanding, you go straight to your Dashboard.
Connecting your bank account
You need to connect your bank account in order to receive your earnings. You can do that now or later, and you can start taking Bookings before you connect one. Your earnings never go to CO:CREATE. Until you connect a bank, they stay in your Stripe account.
To connect your bank, tap Connect a bank to get paid on your checklist, or Set up Payments on the banner in the app.
Once your bank is connected, payouts go straight from Stripe to your bank account. Your first payout may take longer while Stripe verifies and connects to your bank account, so connect your bank as soon as you can.
What if I don't connect a bank?
Your earnings stay with Stripe until you connect one. For questions about earnings you haven't moved to a bank, please contact Stripe directly.
Ways to collect payment
There are three ways to collect payment from a Client on CO:CREATE:
Pay Links. Send a Custom Payment Link to any Client, whether they've booked with you on CO:CREATE before or not. Set the amount, share the link or QR code, and the Booking lands on your list as soon as the Client pays. Pay Links are the right choice for walk-ins, flash events, end-of-session balances, and pre-payments. See What are Pay Links? for the full breakdown.
Request a payment on an existing Booking. For Bookings already on CO:CREATE, request the next session balance directly from the Booking. See How to Request Session Balances on CO:CREATE.
Deposits. Request a Deposit to confirm a new Booking. See Deposits on CO:CREATE.
All three route through Stripe and pay out to the same bank account.
If your Payments need attention
Stripe sometimes needs another detail from you after you're set up, and it pauses your ability to take payments until you give it. When that happens you'll see a banner in the app telling you what's needed and taking you straight there.
You'll also see a prompt if you haven't finished setting up Payments yet. Dismissing that one gives you a week of quiet before it comes back. The "needs attention" banner isn't dismissible, because ignoring it costs you Bookings.
If you closed your Stripe account
If you close your Stripe account, you're no longer bookable on CO:CREATE. Your profile stays up, but Clients can't Book your Wanna Do Designs or pay you until you set up Payments again.
To start taking Bookings again, open the menu, go to Account, and tap Set up Payments. You'll set up a new Stripe account from the start. Once Stripe has everything it needs, you're bookable again and your Wanna Do Designs go back up automatically.
If you can't finish setting up Payments, reach out to the Support Team.
Client fees
All fees are applied to the Client's balance at checkout, not deducted from what you earn:
Booking Fee: $10 per Booking (charged once when the Client pays their Deposit, or their first payment on a Pay Link)
Processing Fee: 3% Stripe fee on all Deposits and payments
Clients paying through CO:CREATE also see Buy Now, Pay Later options including Klarna and Affirm. They pay over time while you still get paid in full upfront.
Important: Keeping payments on CO:CREATE keeps things organized for you and keeps CO:CREATE free for Artists. Pay Links make this easy in any conversation, online or in person.
