How to Request Session Balances on CO:CREATE
After a Deposit is paid and a session is booked, you can request the remaining balance (also called the session balance) directly through CO:CREATE.
There are two ways to request a session balance:
- From the existing Booking (the steps below). Best when the Client already has a Booking on CO:CREATE.
- With a Custom Payment Link. Best for walk-ins, flash events, end-of-session payments, and Clients who don't have a Booking on CO:CREATE yet. See What are Pay Links?.
Step-by-step: requesting a session balance from an existing Booking
Step 1: Locate the Booking
- Go to your Bookings list
- Tap the Booked tab to see confirmed sessions
- Choose the Booking you want to request payment for
Step 2: Request a New Payment
- At the top of the screen, tap Request New Payment
- You'll be prompted to complete the following:
- Appointment Date. Select the correct appointment from your session list.
- Amount Due. Enter the remaining balance you're charging for the session.
- Project Status. If this is the final session, check Is this project completed? If there's another appointment coming, leave it unchecked.
- Message. Add a personalized note if you want to share details or next steps with the Client.
- Tap Request Payment to send it
The Client gets a secure link by email and text to pay the remaining balance through CO:CREATE.
Step 3: Mark the project as Completed
Once the final payment is made and the project is finished:
- Scroll down in the Booking and tap Mark as Completed
- The project moves from the Booked tab to the Completed tab on your Bookings list
Need to reopen a project? Open the Completed Booking, scroll down, and tap Mark as Open to move it back to your active Bookings.
When to use a Custom Payment Link instead
A Custom Payment Link is a better fit when:
- The Client doesn't have a Booking on CO:CREATE yet (walk-ins, flash sessions, Clients you've tattooed for years off-platform)
- You're collecting payment at the end of a session and want the Booking to land directly in your Completed tab (use the Mark Completed checkbox on the link)
- You need to take a pre-payment for an upcoming session from a Client whose Booking isn't on CO:CREATE
To send a Custom Payment Link, tap the plus sign at the bottom of your Bookings list and pick Payment Request. Full walkthrough in What are Pay Links?.
